‘Corporalis Ambitus’, also translated to ‘bodily environments’ is Pentilescu’s main body of work, a performative video that resonates with an atmospheric and meditative aura. Performance is in the form of voice and spoken word in the languages Romanian and Urhobo. Her video work touches on the ecological notion of trans-corporeality and is an exploration of the relationship we cultivate with the environment around us.   

 

Pentilescu’s physical works are a reprieve from her video work where she works with resin and alcohols ink collage in a largely loose and circular arrangement. She ponders about the human body, water and it’s circular structure where roundness is at its most creative. Poetic writing is also a strong element in Pentilescu’s work and it manifests when she is with her camera, taking footage of the natural world’s state of being.
