KASEY FROST
Kasey Frost is a multidisciplinary artist who specialises in painting and sculpture while also experimenting in other areas such as film. He has successfully completed college diplomas at Colchester Institute in other creative fields from Performing Arts, Art and Design, and Fashion & Textiles. After finishing his studies in Fashion & Textiles in 2019, he decided to pursue a degree in Fine Art at the University of Hertfordshire. He has participated in exhibitions including Locked In: Life in a Pandemic at the University of Hertfordshire, and Infinity at The Holy Art.
His paintings often involve being placed onto a canvas however he’s always been fascinated by the idea of painting onto found materials or objects. He enjoys the idea of painting onto the least expected thing as he feels it’s an interesting way of developing his practice and has opened up his work to new possibilities within his artistic adventure. Frost plays with the idea of mixing colours together to then produce results that can become unpredictable. He enjoys the free-flowing process as it can be therapeutic, which explains the concepts he has explored within his practice such as colour psychology and how colours and emotions are related to one another. He always leaves his practice up for interpretation; when the audience views his work, Frost wants them to feel a sense of energy, engagement, intrigue, and surprise upon observing his expressive practice.
